Not sure what to say?

David's hilarious antics, endless charm, and brilliant blue eyes lit up our hearts and home for many years. He was family to us, and I will always treasure the good times, long talks, and belly-laughs we shared. To the Sheats family, my heart breaks with yours, God bless you all.

Sheats, Simply put, you were the coolest guy I know and I hold your friendship as a prized possession. I regret falling out of contact the last few years. Fondest memories...being scared to death after watching "Exorcist" at Nile theater, the weekend at Bass Lake our Junior year, Driller baseball, playing "water-killo" in your folks' pool, and of course the summer your dad coached our JBA baseball team. For Jim and family, my deepest sympathy.

DAVE DOG - MARE DOG - ALOHA!One way or another we are soon to be in our favortie place of Maui, which you helped me with on my very first trip there and hooked me up with "KIEHE GARY"! Your Beautiful Blue Eyes will be first in my memories of you along with your silly stories about girls and such and about your "Black Son" Norman Sheats, and with all the fun times and Ha-Has we shared through the years - You also helped me on one or more occasions through your business of San Joaquin Home...

I met David through delivering his UPS packages off and on over the years. Every time I saw him we would pick up where we let off! Great guy! I will miss all our B.S...!VERY SAD TO HEAR THE NEWS!

From bowling class at Porterville College to Big Beach Maui David always had me laughing. He became a part of my family I think from the first time I saw those blue eyes and he started "capping" on me. There are so many things I could say but for now I will say Thanks for the memories.

David, David, David, David! Mi estimado amigo...my esteemed friend ~ words can not possibly express your loss in my heart. To the only man who has ever called and said, "yo, dog, what's up?" I say, "You are!" May you rest easily now and watch over us all. The boys also send their love to you and your family and friends. Until we meet again...

All my love,

My thoughts and prayers are with the family. I met David on my first day of kindergarten. We remained friends through high school and into our adult years. Regretfully we lost touch when I moved away 11 years ago. He remains a friend in my heart.

Jim, Liz, Chris & Paul (and family):

Know that I have been thinking about all of you constantly since learning the news of David's passing. I have very fond memories of David. David always made me feel welcome, always made me feel comfortable. I really enjoyed being around him. His sense of humor will always stand out and I will never forget his big laugh. And David was such an outstanding story teller! He was a great guy and I'm so sorry for your loss. Take good care and know...

My heart goes out to all of David's family. I know he will be missed by so many. I was fortunate enough to attend high school with David and I will remember him always.

Bless you all,

Lisa (DeMarco) Prudhomme
