Not sure what to say?

A year ago David danced his last dance, as Don Juan, the Yaqui shaman would have said, and I am sure he danced it well, for he always trod a "path with heart."

The shock of his loss has diminished but he will ever be missed, and loved. Thank you, big brother, for always being there for me, and everyone. My life has been better because of you.

Thinking often of David ...and also of Bobbie and Emily, Aeron, Thane and Egan... especially strongly just now. I know David is Out There Somewhere in the Great Ether, and selfishly wish we had had more time. But the shock and sharp grief are wearing off, and I am comforted by all the memories that abide. As I work my way through his Patrick O'Brien books, oh how I wish I could call him up to share the turns of phrase, plot lines, ship lore and Britishisms! I know just which ones he'd...

David was my big brother, always there and always calmly supportive, never judgmental, and his wonderful quiet humor and amazing creativity have always been inspirational and comforting. I cherish his memory and take comfort in remembering all our times together... The tree house he built above Moccasin Creek which was so high that it scared me to climb up through the trap door entry; helping him fly his model planes; listening to him practice the trombone that he played in Golden Rule's (a...

My heart goes out to you, Bobbie, Emily, Aeron, Thane and Egan. David was a gentle soul & although I've not seen him in a long time, I share your sadness and will miss him. I am sorry for your loss and know his memory will remain in the hearts of many. With love, Susan (O'Keefe) Richards

I was very sad when I found out that David had died.
Many years ago, during a difficult time of my life I enjoyed his friendship. David was a wonderful man, someone you like more and more the better you get to know him. Experiencing his integrity, kindness, generosity, humor and wisdom had a tremendous impact on me.
Bobby, Emily and family, I share with you the grief over this huge loss. David touched so many lives. He will never be forgotten!

So sorry to see this. My prayers are with you. David was always a pleasure to work with.

I am so sorry to hear of David's passing. He was always one of my favorite LCC Math instructors. He was so caring and genuine to both students and staff; it was a pleasure to work with him. My condolences to David's family. He will always live in your hearts and in ours who were honored to know him.

Dear Bobbie, Emily & Family,
I just happeneded to see this in e Registerr Guard today. David was always kind, gracious and smiling as we chatted on Fairmount through the years. A wonderful father. My condolences to you all.
So sorry for this untimely loss

David left an indelible mark at LCC. A word guy as well as a number guy, "crackerjack" was an adjective David sometimes used for something superb. He was a crackerjack educator and a crackerjack colleague.
