Not sure what to say?

OMG... but can´t believe he´s gone. I attended Elizabeth Green Elementary School in Newington, CT. David Shieber was my elementary through middle school crush. We wrote to one another for at least a year after I moved to VA in the 9th grade. We reconnected when I moved back to CT in 1983. Had a wonderful dinner together and then lost touch for another 20+ years. In 2006, out of the blue... Dave located me through Facebook and convinced me to meet him for dinner in Sarasota. He was driving a...

It's a bit quieter around the neighborhood without Dave's active management of our community. He and Deb were one of the first I met at Wedgefield and good friends since. I am reminded of Dave's presence whenever I see all the people he impacted and the positive additions throughout the neighborhood. Miss ya bud.....

Dave was a one of a kind dear friend for over 50 years!
He moved to Naples to be near us and the last 4 year’s of he and Deb being there we have had so many fun time’s that we thought we would have for many more year’s to come!
I was blessed to have shared the sunset with him the night before with my granddaughters and Deb and it’s a night that we we cherish forever ❤
Dave will be missed by so many people and our heart’s are going to hurt for a long time.. until we meet again...

Lynn - my condolences to you and your family. Dave was always a sincere, friendly guy. Sending my sympathy - Rod Mortensen

Dave will be missed by many. He was a very dear friend to members of my family. My deepest sympathy to Debra.

Dave was my brother in the fire service, a boy scout leader of mine when I was growing up and later in life sold; me my boat. It was always a party when Dave was there and I will always remember his smile and leadership. Jackie and I are gonna miss you Dave!

Everyone in his Wedgefield community will miss his smiling face and willingness to do anything for anyone. A fine gentleman.

Since the first grade at Elizabeth Green, to becoming Eagle Scouts together, and staying in touch over the years, Dave has been more like a brother to me than just a friend. I still find it hard to believe he is gone so soon. Thankfully I was able to spend a wonderful weekend in Naples last month with Dave and Deb, and Gary and Jayne. I will cherish that and all the memories over the years.

I am stunnedso very blessed to have been able to connect recentlymy heart aches for Deb, and all the lives who have been touched by Davesending love and prayers for comfort. ❤
