David A. "Dave" Shoup, 63, of Mt. Bethel, PA passed away Monday, November 29th, at his residence.


Dave was born in Easton, PA on February 23, 1958, a son of William Shoup, Sr., of Bangor, PA, and the late Betty (Snyder) Shoup.


He was the husband of Patricia "Pat" (Hall) Shoup. They celebrated their 36th wedding anniversary last May. Dave was a 1976 graduate of Bangor High School. He was employed as a Sub Assembler at Follett LLC in Easton, PA until retiring in 2020. Dave enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with family.


He was a member of Trinity United Church of Christ in Mt. Bethel, PA.


In addition to his father William and wife, Pat, Dave is survived by three daughters, Jessica Hinton, Sheila Jones, wife of Brian, and Angela Best, companion of Steven Vacca, a son, Christopher Templeton, husband of Amy, 5 brothers Carl, Tom, Joe, Brian, and Jody, 13 grandchildren, and one great-granddaughter. Dave was preceded in death by one brother William Shoup, Jr.


A Celebration of Dave's life will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021, at 1 PM at the William Pensyl Social Hall, 111 State St., Mt. Bethel, PA. Arrangements have been entrusted to Gaffney Parsons Funeral Home & Cremation Services, Inc., "Village of Johnsonville", Bangor, PA.


In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, Lehigh Valley Unit, 3893 Adler Place, Suite 170, Bethlehem, PA 18017 or St. Luke's Hospice, 801 Ostrum St., Bethlehem, PA 18015 or Trinity United Church of Christ, 632 S. Delaware Drive, Mount Bethel, PA 18343.
