Farewell to a gentle, wise and loving man, who made one feel special in every encounter. We didn't know each other well but we could sense a great fellowship of feeling and of having shared time on common roads. His work at ETS/EDS lives on still in Austin!

A vivid, courteous presence throughout my years at the Episcopal Divinity School, and in the Diocese of Massachusetts. Salute to you, David! I'm glad your path crossed mine in life, grateful for your scholarly and archival work, your priestly ministry, and your collegiality, all animated by a spirit of lovingkindness. May you go from strength to strength!

He was my Parish priest in Duxbury! I was only 5 when I first met him and he made a life lasting impression on me!I remember when I was six years old and father Seigenthaler asked me if I would like to be an acolyte and I told him that I was afraid of heights! He was a great man and theologian! Forever in my heart! All my sympathy, Billy Nourse, Duxbury/Marshfield

David was our neighbor for many years, with an apartment on the same floor of our building. He was always upbeat, with a smile and a pleasant word or two to share, no matter how he might have been feeling. Being an earlier riser than I, he would retrieve our copy of the Boston Globe and deliver it to the door each morning without fail. He joked that he was the "oldest living paper boy." I miss seeing David in our shared hallway and getting to share a smile and a chat. He was such a lovely man.
