Not sure what to say?

My favorite memory of David is from 1959. My Mom's first cousin Helene was first cousin to Fred Astaire & he came to town at Helene's request. She had a tea for him at her apartment and all the relatives (except for children) were invited to meet him. My Mom didn't want David & I going to school & coming home alone so we stayed home from school & played all day. We had a blast.. A few years ago David told me the thought going through his mind that day was " I'm so glad I didn't have to go...

Dave was the keeper of the flame for indie music here in Omaha long before the scene exloded in it's present state. He made the Antiquarium ground zero for local artists to get their music out. Intelligent, humorous, independent minded and loyal to his friends. I will always remember the good times and the great conversations about music, politics and baseball. Always had he deepest respect for him and what he was doing in the Old Market. I'm missing him already. Good night old friend. Save a...

I, too, date my friendship with Dave to the UNO Gateway. Some of my favorite memories from the mid1970s are of evenings spent in great conversations at the Blackstone Hotel's coffee shop or the Village Inn.

I knew Dave from the time he was on the Gateway at UNO, and later at the Sun Newspapers. In fact, he helped me get my job at the Sun, which led to the job I have now. We were good friends for a lot of years. I remember the two of us shooting rubber darts at army men in his living room, and going to Royals games and playing APBA baseball. And I rode around in that funny little sports car he bought. Ironically, only a day ago I was recalling our conversations about religion -- not realizing he...

hey dave maybe someday ill see you on the other side im trying to quit smoking and feel confidant that i will do so in honor to your memory. thanks for the wonderful thoughtfullness you always provided in conversation!

I remember Dave from the Antiquarium. Sad to hear of his passing. My condolences to his friends and family.

I will miss my old friend Dave Sink. We met through the APBA dice baseball game and we talked non-stop about baseball, politics, religion and music. I was an assistant coach with Dave on the little league team that Tom Thiele mentioned. He was the best man at my wedding. On several occasions Dave referred to Stephanie as his angel and he also truly valued his brother-in-law.

The Dave Sink I knew was a dogged and dedicated editor at the late, great Omaha Sun. It was always a pleasure to see him later at his used record outlet in the Old Market. Sorry to hear of his passing.

Dave was my little league coach in the mid-70s. He was always so caring and supportive. Even though our team was awful, he always took us out after the games--I think to A&W on Ames, if I remember correctly. He worked for the Sun at that time, and had that tiny little Opel GT. How he fit in that car, I'll never know. We stayed in touch for a few years after that, but I haven't seen him in more than 30 years. But he was a great person, and it's sad to hear of his passing.
