Not sure what to say?

Each person who knew David has lost something special....I know I have. With all his other delightful qualities, he was also so generous. I counted on him to help me every time I came to town for a benefit event for Creando. He built me some screens and stored them at his house, and always was there when it was time to setup or take down. A sweet, funny and very generous man.

I only recently learned of David's passing and it made me super sad and he's not even my dad. What a legendary creative soul, thankfully whose kindness and inspiration lives on in each one of you. In the years to come, I hope your days are filled with more joy than sorrow. I still affectionately wear the "Heal thyself" t-shirt he sold me off his back and hang prominently a piece from the puzzle show - that remains one of my favorite art auction ideas, ever. I fantasize about one day...

Beth, Onna and Jeb: such sad news. David was a veritable institution in Chico, an inspired and inspiring force with the 24hr Drive By Gallery, the legendary Puzzle Show, original billboard art, and so much more. He truly championed the idea of "more art for more people".

Dear Beth and family, what a poetic homage to a beautiful soul. David is and continues to a light for us all. Though I didn't know him well, I feel blessed to have been the recipient of his sweet smile from time to time.
I am so deeply sorry for your loss. Know that you are loved and held. namaste, Zena

Dave was a classmate and friend within our Class of '63 from Chico High. I know as the years rolled by, we Chicoans became more and more aware of his kindness and creativity in our community. His classmates speak fondly of their memories of interaction with Sisko. Condolences to his entire family.

Beth, Onna and Jeb: It is “always too soon to say goodby”. David was such an amazingly creative and artistic man! You must have the most fond memories of David, your husband and father. I am sending you my heartfelt condolences and hope for a peaceful transition for you and your family.

David was uniquely gifted with an abundance of creativity, thoughtfulness and deep compassion. A truly wonderful human to have in our presence, we feel forever grateful to have had the opportunity to get to know him through numerous and always inspiring conversations. We will all miss his soft eyes, generous heart and warm hugs. Our deepest love and sympathy to you, Beth, and to the entire family. May you be forever reassured that his life has had a profound and positive impact on us all....
