TO ALL OF DAVID'S EXTENDED FAMILY...BLESSINGS AS YOU MOURN DURING THE DAYS AHEAD. DAVID WAS SUCH A WONDERFUL FRIEND AND MY AFFECTION FOR HIM OVER THESE 30 YEARS ONLY GREW DURING THESE LAST 10 MONTHS THAT I WAS
GIFTED TO SHARE IN VISITS WITH HIM. I FEEL WE HAD A WONDERFUL COMPLETION AND CAME FULL CIRCLE. THANK YOU FOR THE WONDERFUL CELEBRATION OF DAVID'S LIFE.
Judy Jones, San Luis Obispo

David was my father's cousin. When my father (Jack Ayer) and his sister Sally visited San Luis Obispo together about 15 years ago, David introduced them to Linnea herself of Linnea's cafe, and treated my young sons to hot dogs from Frank's Hot Dogs. Our extended family sends condolences to your family.

Dave was a true SLO character and esteemed citizen volunteer with the SLO Land Conservancy, Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity and the SLO City Architecture Review Committee. Over 30 years we shared many cups of coffee at Linnaea's and Big Sky in "the old days" when he spent a lot of time in Mexico. More recently he was part of our Tuesday morning guys coffee group at Steynberg/4Cats Cafe. Dave and I shared affinities in New England. I extend my deepest sympathy and prayers for his family.

For almost 20 years, I have been a member of the book club Dave founded and have greatly enjoyed the monthly interchanges with him. His sense of social commitment - to the Salvation Army, Habitat for Humanity, the Land Conservancy - were inspiring. He was a great friend.

May the God of all comfort sustain your family during the days ahead Psalms 119:76

So sorry to hear this sad news. Dave was my oldest relative. Now is my turn. Will write some memories in an old fashioned letter soon. Sympathy and love to you all.

So sorry for your loss.
