Dear Carol, Bev Butler Riegle let us know of the passing of your dear husband, David. You and your family are in our special prayers. We did not know David personally, but from reading comments from those he worked with, we can tell he was a wonderful and godly man. We grieve his loss and ask God to comfort you at this difficult time.

I met Dave almost on the first day of my Alcoa career in March of 1969. He became involved in the latest mill developments, staying deeply involved for his entire career. He was a very kind and person. I am glad to have known him as a friend and associate.

Dave was an amazing engineer and a supportive manager. I never worked for him directly, but he supported me during my time in Davenport. And he campaigned to have me join the engineering group in Knoxville. I worked with him on many projects and always had the greatest respect for him. We travelled to many locations around Alcoa together. He was a good man. I will miss him very much.
