Not sure what to say?

Lisa.
Needless to say this is a very late message of condolence, I recently was looking up names and whereabouts of former colleagues and mentors, and I was eager to see what David is up to. And then saddened by Learning of his passing. It doesn't surprise me that David became president of Erfa, he was very dedicated and of course very talented. I don't know if you remember our trip to Chattanooga Tennessee for Baylor school, and one occasion I sat for your boys on the weekend, which was...

Hi, Lisa.

Today's SHOCKED voice from the past is yours truly. I was going to try to email David in connection with the Stirling Studio exhibition Yale is planning, and instead came up with an obituary.

I am so very heartsick for you and the kids. David was a wonderful, fun guy -- I don't need to tell you. WAY too soon. I wish I'd heard of his death at the time; would certainly have come up for any services.

I relayed the sad news to Bill Odell and Hillary...

Was very sad recently to learn of david's death as i worked in the building his company was in for several years., We shared many conversations and he even invited me to come to the holiday party at his house one year as his guest. David i know for a fact you are sorely missed. And another thing folks should rememeber that i do about David is he had class that says it all right there!

Lisa, (I don't know whether this will reach you at this late date.)

I was so shocked to learn of David's death, from a recent mention on the Yale Slavic Chorus list. Though I haven't seen you and David for years (decades, really) I can still remember his exuberance and sweetness-- and especially the sweetness of your early romance.
I have a daughter who is in her final year in Architecture school, and I am recalling that I last knew David when he was at the very beginning of his...

I am so sorry to hear of David's passing. I had the pleasure and opportunity to work with David on various school construction projects. He was a gentleman and an intellectual. I will miss his exuberance! Peace be with you...

Dear Soleau Family,

David was a man of great courage and a dear friend. Even when he was battlling his own illness, he was always sincerely interested in what was going on in my life. I shall miss him, but I know he is now in a better place filled with lightness of being. Thank you for sharing him with us.

Lisa, Jason & Tyler:

I am sorry to hear of your loss. My thoughts and prayers are with you. Dave was a wonderful man whose work will continue to touch others for years to come through the structures he designed and the lives he helped to rebuild. I am grateful that he was part of my life.

Beautiful Day on the Harbor

The world has lost a great friend and true gentle-person. I can't begin to tell you how much David, and his father John, have helped me. David was there for me when I went through my own cancer experience. I miss him terribly. There is a definite hole in my heart knowing that we all have to get along with our lives - the best way we can - without him. I know that God has called David home. His work here on earth is done and he is no longer in pain or suffering. My only comfort is that...

Lisa, Jason & Tyler,

I was so, so sad to hear about David. I pray that the Lord wraps each of you tightly in his arms while you go through this deep loss individually and as a family - may He continue to bind you together with love. You and the family are in my prayers.
