Not sure what to say?

Mr. Sowerby was a very loving and kind teacher. I had him for 6th and 7th grade orchestra, and even though I played an unpopular instrument, he still really cared.

I Never knew Mr.Sowerby but I know that he was a great teacher for everybody

What Mr. Sowerby meant to me was a lot. To me he was a very special person in my life, he made orchestra my favorite class. Every day I would look forward to my orchestra class. He made me want to try in everything. Every day there was something that made everybody laugh. I remember one time, he had a bag from 'Clairs' filled with markers and someone had said, "is that your purse.", he had laughed and said, "Ya, it's my man purse." Everybody had started to laugh so hard. With his help, I have...

I really got to know David while at hockey practices. We talked mostly about music and harp specifically for his orchestra. He was always so upbeat and positive. I did have the opportunity to sit next to him during one particular hockey game. He certainly knew how to get fired up. He will be greatly missed. Our hearts go out to you all during this time.

I am very sorry that he died and I will always remember his amazing stories that he shared with me and all that he has done for us. I am thankful that I was able to know him and will always appreciate him teaching me in class and being who he was. I will always remember Mr. Sowerby as an extraordinary and amazing person who told us stories of how he did his best to survive. I am glad that I was able to spend every second in orchestra with him and making us helping us become a...

Me along with my siblings were lucky enough to have him as a teacher and a mentor. His passion for music inspired my family, along with so many others and will never be forgotten. Keeping your family in our prayers.

All three of my children were blessed to be students of Mr. Sowerby. They always had wonderful stories to tell about him. I thank God for him, and the gift of music he blessed them with. It is clear to me that he taught them more than music. The Kittredge´s offer heartfelt condolences. He will be missed.
