Not sure what to say?

David was a true gentleman and cherished friend, with whom we shared unforgettable days aboard the Sea Cloud. His kindness and warm spirit will be deeply missed. May he now find peace, journeying from sea to cloud. Jan and Florian Berlin, Germany

I meet David through his wife Jean who was a classmate at Queens college. He was a committed Christian and a man of many talents with a great laugh and sense of adventure. My husband and I have many wonderful memories of being on his Sea Cloud trips and will miss his presence here but know he is with our savior. "The best is yet to be."

David Spence meant much more to me than a `client´ - he was also a mentor and a loyal friend. Memories of his kind smile, compassionate heart, and unwavering perseverance will forever stay with me. He taught me to tackle challenges with creativity and determination and to never stop learning and growing. Wherever he went, he had a way of bringing people together and creating a sense of community. I am eternally grateful for the time I spent with David, both on a personal and professional...

I met David at Chapel Hill and roomed with him for awhile. He was a deeply religious man and after UNC was a missionary in New Guinea where he must of lost 50 lbs. At Carolina he took to Bible studies at Danny and Ann Lutz(Billy Graham's daughter) house. Occasionally, after UNC he would visit me in Florida or I would visit him in Chapel Hill ( not enough). He was a huge Carolina basketball fan and good cook. David was one of the most interesting people I have ever met. My condolences to his...

We only met David once on the Sea Cloud, which was a remarkable journey with a remarkable man. As I read his obituary, I see many connections of ministries I have also been admirers of. May the Lord be with the family as they remember and grieve "as those who have hope." Blessings, Roger & Ricky Edrington, Los Gatos, California

We owe David a world of thanks for organizing and accompanying us on some of the most memorable and impactful adventures of our life-experiences more amazing than we could ever have imagined with a bunch of wonderful people, many of whom have become beloved friends. We are eternally grateful for his life and his gifts.

we are among the many who admired this fine gentleman genuine in every way: Christ´´s wonderful witness David loved by all

It is with sadness that I am made aware of David's passing, though more than grateful that I may see him again in glory. I met David in the 1980s through John Stott's ministry and last spoke with him in 2022 upon his sale of First Century Voyages to Julie and Karl. David will remain in my heart as a true and faithful man of God, and I am pleased to have been an acquaintance. If I could be near for his memorial, I would be there. Reverend Dr. Suzanne Ebel, now of New Mexico
