Not sure what to say?

I just recently learned of Dave's passing from a fellow musician. I am so sorry for his family's loss and offer my deepest condolences.I used to carpool with Dave a few years back when I was playing for "Spiderman"and also played some gigs with him (and his wife) with The Orangeburg Wind Band. I remember him as a wonderful human being, proud parent, and fine musician. All of my love goes out to his family.

My thoughts are with you all still. What an extraordinary man he was. I believe the last time I saw him he was playing trumpet, with the Gulf Of Mexico behind him in St. Pete.

Dear Family and Friends of David,

I sit here in dismay at the (late) news of David's passing. I knew David from Jersey Boys as a fellow musician in the Pit. He was always a hello and a smile. He always reassured me to not worry when running late to work b/c of traffic. He crossed my mind only last week.... His obituary is in the Musicians' paper from Local 802..... that's how I learned, as I'm sure so many others will now know.

He was an amazing musician and such a wonderful...

I was just googling to find David, having come across his business card from many years ago when he used to play on the balcony of my home on 51st Street in Manhattan to welcome guests to my annual Christmas party. My fondest memory was of him and his brass quartet playing God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen while a dusting of snow was falling and passers by were in rapt attention listening to the beautiful music.
I am so sorry to find this news and my condolences to his family. He will surely be...

We were so sorry to hear of David's passing. We will always remember him playing taps at our father, Warren "Bud" Spier's funeral. Such a moving tribute from a caring young man.

I am so sorry of hearing about David's passing, I went to Cicero High with him and he was very talented. My thoughts and prayers are with David's family.

My children were all in The Golden Eagles with David. He was a talented musician even then, and has gone on to share his gifts with the world. My symathies to his family, his parents, and his associates.

Words cannot express our feeling of sadness. David and his family have been our good friends since we met. David and my son, Tony were friends in high school, marching band, worked together, ski, fish and camp. His parents, Nancy and Fred became babysitters for my daughter, Crystal. They were more than a babysitter, they were grandparents to her. Their granddaughter, Jessica became Crystal's best friend. David would come to my house and Crystal would get so excited to see him. He had...

My sympathy and love to the Spier family. I was David's neighbor and we road the school bus together. I remember ever morning David's mom would comb his hair just before he got on the bus. He was always dressed so nice. Rest in peace my friend.
