David Edward Springer

I worked with and traveled with David on matters related to India and greatly enjoyed our association and many vigorous discussions of politics and India. I am so very sorry to see that he has passed away. I did not know it until now and feel terrible to see this. My deepest condolences to Patty and their children and grandchildren.

David Springer has been a tremendous friend and helper over the years to so many of us in Alabama and Washington DC. He was always positive, and I am personally indebted to him and his family. Rest in peace, my friend -- you have earned it.

Very sad to hear of David's passing. I was privileged to work for and with him and he was always a true gentleman and nice to me. We shared a love of politics even though we didn't agree all the time. Sometimes I would house and pet sit for David and Patty and when he would be leaving the house I would tell him that the dog and I would now watch Fox and Friends, which, of course made him mad. Even though it was a ruse as the dog and I were CNN people aka Clinton News Network. Safe travels to...
