I worked with David in the Tuscaloosa Federal Building when he was a court security officer here. He was so kind and so much fun to be around. Always made us laugh. I have been keeping in touch and knew that he was struggling. He loved his family so much. Even after he had been to treatments when I would talk to him, he would move on and ask about my family. I am praying for all of you. May God give you the strength you need at this time.

My thoughts and prayers are with you and the family. Although, I only met Mr. Sterling a few months ago, I could tell he was/is a very loving husband and father. I know he will missed for a long time to come.
