Not sure what to say?

I will always remember Mr. Stotlar as the man who taught people what it was really like to love and appreciate music. He was a very influential man in many people's lives and he will always be loved.

David was a talented man whose genius made otherS rise to their hightest potential. I am grateful that he was a part of our family for a very long time. My best to his family and loved ones.

Mr. Stotlar was the reason why I loved going to school. He made choir the best hour of my day and inspired me like no other teacher ever has ever done. He will always be in my heart. Even though I have not seen him since I graduated, he will be missed.

High school and middle school choir with Mr. Stotlar always felt like a safe haven. He was someone who expected your best, and was always there to support you. He won the respect of those around him by showing respect. Thank you for all the valuable lessons. You will be truly missed.

David was incredible. He was a tough but kind teacher who truly cared for his students. I was in his first middle school music classes and choir at KMS (1981-1984) and later he became our KHS choir director and music theory teacher my senior year ('87-'88). He taught me more than anyone else could about music, voice, stage presence, and perseverance. It breaks my heart to know he is gone and others cannot benifit from him on a personal level. He knew how to make us (his "kids") laugh on stage...

I HAD THE WONDERFUL EXPERIENCE OF HAVING MR. STOTLAR AS A CHOIR INSTRUCTOR FOR SIX YEARS IN MIDDLE SCHOOL AND HIGH SCHOOL. HIS INFLUENCE ON MY LIFE WILL NEVER BE FORGOTTEN. IT SADDENS ME TO THINK THAT STUDENTS WILL NO LONGER HAVE THE OPPORTUNITY TO BENEFIT FROM HIS TREMENDOUS TALENT. MR. STOTLAR, YOU WILL FOREVER BE IN MY HEART AND PRAYERS.

Mr Stotlar was one of those people that comes into your life and pushes you because he knows you are only cheating yourself. He taught me to appreciate so much more than just music. His talents stretched so far beyond what he could teach us in the class room. His family and friends are in our prayers and thoughts. (KMS & KHS 1986 - 1991)

There are too few kids (I believe) that are blessed with the opportunity to be influenced by truly great teachers. Mr. Stotlar was, and is, one of those great teachers. Though I'm sure I did my share of things he wanted to forget (made the veins pop out many times), I will never forget him or how he contributed to my growth and my life...Thank You DOS.

Mr. Stotlar was one of the most influential people in my life. I loved him dearly and am so grateful for the chance I had to be his student (KHS 1991-1995). His family is in my heart and prayers right now.
