I worked with Dave for 15 years at PCC--the 'final' career for each of us--and was always happy to see him. A consistently positive human being, as good with the instructors he oversaw as with the students who had the privilege of interacting with him. Dave was a mensch, and I will miss him.

What a shame to lose this charming, funny, upbeat and intelligent man too early. I saw Dave's good nature radiate through PCC for the 15 years I worked there. From playing the cello at various events, making intelligent and humane decisions (a rarity in academia), and always being a pleasure to talk to, Dave was one of the best. For PCCs 50th anniversary, I tried to get the college to getMcMenamins to make some special beers. McMenamins was up for it, but the idea that was nixed by some ...

I worked with Dave for years before he retired from PCC. He was always enthusiastic to work with students from our student government and encouraged them to dream big and take action to change the world. Dave radiated a joy for being in the moment and always had a warm smile and words of encouragement.
