Not sure what to say?

I am trying to get in touch with David Stovall´s grandson. I have something from his working days at Leggett. My husband worked at Leggett and David and Barbara took us under their wings. David gave the item to me upon his retirement. I am getting up in years and believe it belongs in the family.

I just found out of Mr. Stovall's passing. He was my boss at Belk and he was also a wonferful friend. Even though he left Belk, we still exchanged text msgs on our birthdays and at Christmas. I didn't get a msg back this year and just found out of his passing. Not only was he the best boss I ever had, he also had the biggest heart. I wiill miss him greatly!

Dear Debbie and family, David's energy and enthusiasm was contagious, and all who knew him felt it. While we have not seen him in recent years, our memories of him are special. Our deepest sympathy to you.

My thoughts , prayers, wishes for grace in the loss of David are sent with love. My deepest
Sympathy is expressed to you all. I am glad Alicia was able to see you even if for a short
Time. We both will be there tomorrow.

Dave was a wonderful person and businessman who will be truly missed. I had the pleasure of serving with him on the Federal Reserve Bank Board, Jacksonville Branch. We appreciated his view of the retail industry trends but most of all his smiles, and love expressed for his family. Sending prayers of comfort to them. Carolyn Fennell - Orlando Florida

Such an incredible loss. What a great man who will be missed by so, so many. Debbie, Nathan/Gillian and the rest of the family -- our thoughts, prayers and love are with you all.

Davey was a childhood friend and his passing is painful but it did bring back a lot of pleasant childhood memories from 60 years ago. We thought we were hot stuff when we caught a foot long mud sucker from a nearby creek! I will miss that little boy, and I share your grief.

Dave was such a fine person and friend, and he so loved Debbie, his children, and those grandchildren. He was a people person...friendly, caring, and smiling. We imagine that he already has a group of angels sitting around laughing with him.

Dear Debbie,

I was truly saddened to hear about Dave's passing- my thoughts and prayers are with you and your family. Stein Mart is one of our favorite stores here in Plano. While Dave was CEO of the company, I would mention to the cashiers when checking out that their "big boss" in Jacksonville and I were from the same home town in Va. They always smiled when I said that.
