Not sure what to say?

Gone almost 9 years, but not forgotten! i wonder what you would think about the state of affairs where we find ourselves on the brink of 2026... rest in peace wherever you are! love, joanne

Happy Birthday David. You would have been 80 years old today!
The videos we (and mostly me) took in Kenya are now available on Youtube (DNWorks.com David Stover/Kenya. Thank you for some of the most memorable events of my life!!!

By some great transcendental coincidence, I received the email from legacy within hours of watching Michael Portillo's Great American Railroad Journeys Series 3 episode 15 Berkeley to Yosemite. I remembered with great affection David taking me to Yosemite at Thanksgiving 1972. That was nearly 50 years ago! Thank you David -my life was so much richer for having known you and for rekindling the spirit of John Muir who was born in Dunbar, scarcely 25 miles from Edinburgh. Brian

David and Brian UCR Commencement June 1973

I had the great privilege of meeting David in early October 1971 at the University of California, Riverside where we entered the Graduate Program and were employed as teaching assistants. As a young Scottish stranger to California, David befriended and mentored me like an older brother.
That Thanksgiving, he invited me back to his home in Fresno (where I met his first wife Joanne) and then to Clovis to meet his parents and his brother Richard and sister in law Becky. We even had time to...
