Not sure what to say?

I miss you and Sammy and Carissa. I know you are all together & you're carrying Carissa around and Sammy is goofing around with his toy mice. I know you told me good-bye and that you were okay. I'll never never forget you. I hope so much I can see you again someday.

It was a pleasure to know David

Thoughts and Memories of David
by Bob Strait, his cousin.

Most of my childhood involved David. Thanksgivings, Christmas and New Years were the times when David and I would get together and catch up on what was happening in our lives. I always looked forward to seeing David. Even then I could see his love for music and that inspired me. The times we shared at the cottage or at Wamplers Lake are certainly memorable. I will miss David. I guess we grew apart throughout the...

The large number of friends and relatives at Dave Strait's funeral indicated his life touched many others. Besides friends and neighbors that had know him from his childhood, there were many friends that knew him from his association with Saline Big Band and Saline Area Players as well friends from his work.

At Ford/Visteon he had been a UNIX administrator who also taught several UNIX classes. Most of his colleagues mentioned his in depth UNIX knowledge and their dependency on...

David is an important member of a family of the most wonderful people to ever exist ( not a bad apple in the bunch ). His absence from this spiritual plane is felt by all who remain. From a science fictional perspective, he is just on the other side of a one way barrier. Those who pass through the barrier can not return. They can see us and be with others on the other side and this side, only we can't see them. The only thing which flows freely through the barrier is LOVE.

With love and sorrow sad news...

Dave was a wonderful brother-inlaw, he loved his nephew and nieces and grandnieces and nephews. We will always remember his wonderfully dry sense of humor, the hours spent playing cards around the family dining room table, days spent at the Cottage swimming and skiing. Dave was a very gentle man and friend to many people. His love of the Saline Big Band and the Saline Area Players wil not be forgotten.
