Not sure what to say?

I had the privilege and honor of knowing David from my days with General Parts/CARQUEST. My best memories of David are when my wife and I spent a few days in San Antonio and were treated to a personal tour and history of the city and all that David was involved with over the years. It was an absolute pleasure working with you after your merger with General Parts you were always the gentleman in the room. I also remember you gardening skills and appreciated the fresh carrots you would bring to work for everyone to enjoy. Rest in Peace my friend you have earned it. John Turcotte

My deepest sympathy to the Straus family. I knew David from my time at CARQUEST. He was a good man.

David was my father's dearest friend who introduced the entire family to San Antonio's history and potential. Most of all, they were both men of great integrity, skill, kindness and generosity...not to mention sausage-making! Heartfelt condolences.

David was a special friend. We traveled on business and pleasure on many occasions and many years. He was a great mentor and a lot of fun to be with. We shared a lot of laughs together. Most important, the entire Straus family treated me and my wife Linda as members of their family!

David was a good friend of mine. It was a pleasure to talk to him at times and be around him. A great man. I will miss him and his friendly smile.

ALWAYS A GENTLEMAN !
