I had been out of town and could not believe when I saw David's obit in the paper. David was a fine man and police officer. He always had a big smile on his face and a kind word every time I saw him. The world will be a sadder place without David, but he will join some of the finest police officers in heaven that I have ever known. My father included. Your family is in my thoughts and prayers. Our prayers are with you.I had worked with David in the mid 80's.David was the type of Officer everyone wanted to see when things would get out of control! You just knew David was the best back-up possiable for an Officer needing help.Robbie Mullins.

All the nieces and nephews always knew that if we needed someone all we had to do is call Uncle Dave and he would take care of us and he did. He was still the strong and encouraging one even in the end. We will miss our night and shining armor. Until we meet again. Love you David

We were so sorry to see David had lost his battle with leukemia, I had just heard he was sick a little over a week ago, we have lots of good memories of him in our time in Tennessee.
