Not sure what to say?

I still remember holding your hand as you slipped away in Iraq. I was with the team that fought with everything to save you. Something about you just touched my soul. I now find myself stationed at the very location of your final resting place. I will visit and pay my respects. You are not forgotten. Mosul Medic......

Staff Sgt. Textor family and friends,

My name is Petty Officer Davis. I did a tour in Iraq in 2008. I was attached to Combined Joint Special Task Force Ballad. After hearing what happened which wasn't very specific. I found his Bio. I read that he had quite a few children some adopted. Five I think.. It was hard to imagine his family's grief. I had my first son on the way then. To lose someone so active and giving..

I volunteered to be part of David's...

Did they find out how exactly the accident happened?

I am the medic who held his hand and stayed with him the night he passed. Something about him touched my heart forever. He is greatly missed. I had a memorial bracelet made in his honor and actually gave it to Dierks Bentley at a USO concert he gave on the Fourth of July at Ft Hood, Texas a few years back. He was speechless. Never Forgotten! God Bless his family and fellow "Green Berets".

We miss you Dave
