David THORKILDSEN

Dave was brilliant, involved with early numerical groundwater flow modeling in Texas, and an inspiration for my career in groundwater modeling. More importantly, he was a sweetheart, always willing to help people, always reasonable, always a team member. He loved to help people.

Dave was a meticulous and brilliant geologist, dedicated to research on the state's aquifers, and later in his career to assisting the public with questions they had about groundwater resources. I had the priviledge of working with him for over 25 years, and he was always a fun, helpful, and productive person to work with. I know that many of us will miss him as a coworker and friend, and we are all very sad to lose him.

Dave was always a polite young man to work with at TWDB. He will be missed br many that worked with him

Dave was a good friend and a great coworker. I worked with Dave for 25 years. He was a true optimist whether dealing with his own projects or assisting someone else with theirs. I'll never forget the times he helped me battle my throat cancers! I'll miss Dave a lot!! Take care my friend!

He was a good man and will be sorely missed by many.
