Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry to hear of Dr. Tilford´s passing. I can´t fully acknowledge what he truly did for me and my family. I met Dr. Tilford when I was a small child, dealing with ALL. My mother remembers more than me but telling her of his passing I knew how much he truly did for my family. I am forever grateful for his work and passion and I hope the Tilford family knows how much he changed the lives of so many. My prayers go out to the Tilford´s and to everyone that he guided thru dark...

My heart is full whenever I think of Dr. Tilford. I was diagnosed with a sarcoma the end of 1989, at 15 years old, and every day of my life thereafter is a testament to his compassion and wisdom. I am forever grateful for his impact on my life.

I am beyond heartbroken to hear of Dr. Tilford´s passing... I´m 32 years cancer free thanks to this guy. Whether it was hospital stays, clinic time or Camp UKANDU as a camper and then a counselor, every moment I spent with him left me with such amazing and wonderful memories of his kindness. Nancy, I send you Jeremy and I´s deepest condolences.

We had the privilege of having Dr. Tilford as our pediatric oncologist. He steered my daughter's road map through treatment for over a decade. I have no words to express the loss that we feel since learning of his passing. He offered honesty, professionalism, appropriately timed levity, and dedication that I have yet to see again in medical care. I feel so grateful that he was a part of our experience. The world is a little less bright without this soul. Love you, Dr. Tilford. You changed...

So sorry to hear about David. We greatly appreciated everything he did for our Strand Condominiums including being on the Board. David and Nancy were wonderful residents and were truly missed when they moved. Sincerely, Mark and Kathy Gentemann

I'm so very sorry to hear of David's passing. I have very fond memories of David as he and Nancy were neighbors at the Strand for 12+ years. Whenever you'd see David, he always had a smile and a greeting. I served on the Strand Board of Directors with David and, in addition to being an Officer (Secretary) of the HOA, he was instrumental in adding bike storage in the garage. This was not an easy task, yet David worked tirelessly until all concerns were addressed and additional bike storage...

As a pediatric specialist, I had the privilege of working with Dave to care for some of his sickest patients at Bess Kaiser and Doernbecher. It takes a special type of physician to care for children with cancer and he did an exemplary job. He was knowledgeable, caring/calming, humble, attentive, and compassionate. Thank you to Nancy and his children for sharing Dave with us.

The most important lesson I ever learned from Dr Tilford was the difference between BIG and small. If you know...... you know .... Polly Howell

As a hospital based NWP physician, I often encountered David when he came to see his patients in the pediatric ward at Bess Kaiser Medical Center. He was a strong advocate of a high quality patient care. He was a kind, caring and dedicated physician. My heartfelt condolences to all his family.
