I was his former student at CHS. I was so blessed to have known this man. He truly loved what he did. He always encouraged his students to pursue their passions. Of all the teachers I've had in my life, Dave Tracy was one of the few that gave me hope and encouragement. He truly had a light inside of him that helped ignite mines. I just learned of Dave's passing as I was searching for his email address. I am so sorry for your loss. I went to high school and junior college in Mason City with Dave. He taught me to play chess and we shared a love for the Beach Boys. I was so glad to see him at our 50th MCHS reunion. He put together listings of the attendees and we enjoyed lots of fond memories.
