Not sure what to say?

I can´t believe it´s been 8 years! This memory popped up yesterday. I was reading my letters that I sent to my parents when I was in the Marines with David and it was in a letter from 25 April 1968.Chooch as we called him was at the beach with us in North Carolina,he had a 64 Chevy, which I didn´t remember.

So sorry to hear of the passing of my fellow Marine,Chooch and I spent our last year 1971 at Cherry Point N.C.with Tommy Coffey and Pete Tuttle! We attended his wedding,I often thought of these Marines. We've been to Boston a few times but never had the chance to look anyone up!

So very sad for your loss - I'll never forget how he taught me the Jitter Bug at your Wedding - He grew up around the corner from me - went to the same Grammer and High School - he was friends with my brother Ken and my husband Paul - and an incredibly wonderful guy
You've had so many losses in the past few years - and my heart hurts for that - we need to get together
I love you

I am heartbroken over the loss of my dear Marine Brother Dave and will forever cherish our time shared in our beloved Marine Corps I loved you for so many reasons and one of my greatest honors and memories was taking part in your marriage to your beautiful wife Maryellen 46 years ago!you fought a gallant fight for so long Dave, your suffering is over now! I promise to love and stay in touch with Maryellen at this time and for as long as I,m here.Send me some kind of sign when your setteled...

Dear Maryellen and family,

Jenny and I are so sad to hear about the passing of your David.
"GRAVY"...our other big brother.....meant so much to the Gallardo family. Tab, Mom and Del loved him very much. In our crazy fun days of NCC, so many memories were created.
Memories of him will always live on.
We wish you our best during this sad time. But remember...David will always be there for you.
Marcella and Jenny

Maryellen,

My deepest sympathies and sincere condolences to you and the family.

Condolences to Dave's family. I am so sad to hear of his passing. Dave was a classmate at North Cambridge Catholic High School. We played on the basketball team together and we had a tight group of friends especially other Somerville guys. Dave was a great guy and a loyal friend, he will be missed.
