Not sure what to say?

Dear Bonnie, over the years I have been wondering how you and Dave have been. Finally took the time to see if I could find you online. Sad to have found Dave´s obituary. Sincere condolences to you and family. I have so many fond memories of visiting Trumble pottery and listening to Dave´s Dad jokes! Learned a lot about the pottery business too from him while dusting pots. Sending love your way and thinking of chocolates - Jean Wells (Smaglik) One of John & Claire´s apprentices

Dear Bonnie, I have been blessed in knowing both you and Dave and think of you both so fondly. I wish you healing in your grief. I loved spending time in the pottery shop and working with you as you moved to Woodstock. My favorite quote from your husband is, "Bonnie and I found, early on, that possessions actually own you. Not the other way around." I repeat it often.

I remember one day in English class discussing the ways of the world. Mr. Trumble drew a straight line on the chalkboard declaring that if man had their way all rivers would look like this and all trees would look like this -drawing a stick with a circle on top. It was a powerful statement about how people like control and order. Still true today.

So sorry to hear if David's passing. He was a warm, caring, passionate, intelligent man. I loved taking "the tour" while in grade school or through the Cub Scouts. I hope the entire Trumbel family will find comfort and peace. Respectfully, Phillip Cesaroni

My deepest sympathy to Bonnie and her family at this terrible loss. Keep your memories close. Sending love and prayers

Mr. Trumbel was an excellent teacher, photographer and potter. Besides a love of English, he left us many beautiful portraits of our children and many beautiful pieces of his art. Rest in peace, Dave. Love to Bonnie and his girls.

My thoughts and prayers are with you

My prayers and condolences to the family. He was a teacher of mine during my freshman year and it was a class I truly enjoyed. May he rest in Peace

Your Dad was my English teacher my freshman year. He was one of my favorite teachers. He had such a modern approach. I loved reading classics in his class. He was excited about discussing them. Got the class really involved. After he quit teaching once in awhile I would catch him working in the pottery shop. He was so kind and let bed teaching his craft. Once a teacher always a teacher. I was also so lucky to have your Mom as my kindergarten teacher. I absolutely loved her too. In fact my...
