I was one of the lucky ones who was in the first class that Mr. Tubbs taught at Central High School in 1966. We became part of a group of friends later in life, enjoying dinners, movies, music. But I always liked to remind him that he was my teacher, best teacher ever. R.I.P. Mr. Tubbs You will be missed Dave.

I was privileged to know David back in 1976-77 as a teacher in Project LEGAL that I directed. He persuaded me to join him on a weekend conference on alternatives to incarceration, one of our mutual interests. Iremember him as a very dedicated teacher and caring person.
