David Van Dyck

I knew David as "Baby David" back in the 1970's and 80's, growing up in Fort Lee with Bobby, Greg, and David. How can it be, only 39 years old? I am deeply shocked and sorry and wish to express my condolences to all the Family; Mr. and Mrs. Van Dyck, Bob, Greg, Sonia, ....
David faught so hard...as his parents said a few weeks ago, "He just needed one more miracle..."

I am deeply saddened to be writing this. Dave and I worked together at CNBC from 1994 through 1997. When I first started at the station, I was young and just out of college. Dave was always very supportive of me as I learned new tasks in the world of technical TV, and he always went of his way to make me feel comfortable as I performed my new duties on live TV (I was quite nervous when I first started). I am so very sorry for your lose. Dave was a great friend and a wonderful, fun guy... I know he will be terribly missed.

I can't believe what I'm writing. I knew Dave and you from CNBC. I heard about Dave's passing early this morning. I am so very saddened by this news. I had no idea he was sick. I just can't believe it. My thoughts and prayers are with you, your child, and everyone that knew and loved Dave. We will miss him. He was a shining light. Please let me know if there is anything I can do for you.
