Dave had me golfing with very, very nice hand -me-down clubs; fellow golfers must have been worried about my game until they saw me swing; Dave never gave up on me and the I'm better to have known him

Such a lovely man. Enjoyed golf, bowling and poker with him. An honest and forthright man, he loved a good joke. If he said he'd do something, you could count on it. Will miss him on the golf course. To you my friend RIP.

I remember Dave from my days working in the marketing department for First of America many years ago. He would call on me on behalf of Barnes Printing. Dave was a friendly guy and a pleasure to do business with. I remember him thoughtfully sending me flowers after my first child was born. Rest In Peace, Dave.

Dave was a long time friend and fraternity brother at Albion College. A kind and generous guy that I was grateful to know. Rest in peace, Dutch!

I had many fun days with David at the Elks and sharing a libation or two, playing cards and having good laughs. My condolences to the family!

I will always remember the VanHoeve family with great fondness. Sharie and Wendy were wonderful babysitters to our toddler son and Dave spent many hours tossing a ball with the little guy. I remember him saying "this kid should never grow up". Such a kind, generous person and family. Joan Osmun
