Dr. VanDyke, I hope you read this and realize how much our time together meant to me. I've enjoyed every one of our interactions over the many years I've known you. Scott and I loved making custom jewelry for Janet, and had the honor of remaking the pieces with heavy hearts when she passed. We enjoyed caring for your favorite carnelian ring. I enjoyed our talks... our mutual love of the flute and piccolo, the concern and wisdom you showed when we talked about our son's hydrocephalus and many...

Our family is thankful for Dr. VanDyke. He helped us through very difficult times with our daughter in the Pediatric ICU and then for many more years. May he rest in God´s peace.

Our son was a patient of Dr. VanDyke and we greatly appreciated his wisdom and care given to us.

I had the privilege of sitting next to Dave as piccolo/3rd flute player in the Calvin Community Symphony for many years. His bright, cheery disposition and encouraging manner were always welcome. He was well loved. I will miss him. Marie Albers

I knew Dr VanDyke first when he started as the Pediatric Neurologist at Blodgett, specifically in the Genetics Clinic. He was very supportive when I wanted to start a support group for individuals with neurofibromatosis and remained supportive of my professional endeavors through out my career. I feel privileged to have known and learned from him. I will remember him smiling with his bow tie intact. My sympathy to John and the rest of his family.

It was great to have the opportunity to play with David in Calvin's Community Symphony the past few years. He will be missed. Marge Hoogeboom, oboist

When I asked his advice on an adult Neurologist, he said, "Oh, let me take care of her". And he did! She loved him, he made her laugh,...
