Not sure what to say?

To Dave’s family: Dave was a fantastic guy lost way too soon. The photo of him perfectly depicts his personality as I remember him.
He was a wonderful teammate as well

In the summer of 2020 my brother George sent me a text and asked if I remembered Barb Norcutt and Dave Vann. Of course I did!
It turned out that Barb & Dave owned some property on the same road as my brother and sister-in-law. I was very excited to meet them again after decades.
Because of the Global Pandemic, I hadn’t been able to visit my brother.
Then last August I got the news about Dave passing.
As devastated as I felt, I couldn’t imagine the depth of pain that Barb...

Dave was my roommate at St. Cloud State. We were both on the football team and worked hard to keep Charley Engel out of trouble. Humorous and a great guy described Dave back then as well as his adult life based on the other comments. I and the other guys who played with him were saddened by his passing and want to share our condolences to the family. Mathi

Dave Vann - and his entire family - were well known in our neighborhood. My siblings and I grew up with Dave and his siblings. I had a paper route as a kid and Dave shared the “paper shack” with those of us preparing to deliver the morning newspaper. He was a friend throughout junior high and high school, riding the same activity bus and always laughing and including everyone in such a positive way. I can’t think of a kinder more thoughtful man than Dave. We have lost such a gentle soul.

We mee Dave on Portage Lake and often saw he and Barb enjoying lake time. We didn't know him well, but that smile! It always made you feel better when you had seen Dave. We are so sorry to hear of his passing, out thoughts and prayers are with Barb and all his loved ones. Becky and Jim Portage Lake

I knew Dave through some mutual friends, youth sports and a few golf outings. He always made me feel special and we laughed a lot. I think all who knew him felt that. I am not a fancy dresser. On golf outings he would bring me a shirt from the pro shop and say, "this would look good on you Beav." (my nick name). A GOOD MAN

Dave was a super guy who always had a smile on his face. Our deepest sympathies to his family.

My deepest sympathies go out to David's family. I will always cherish the many hours Dave and I spent talking about our families as I was setting up for practice At Aquila and he was making sure I had everything I needed. I would get Vann family updates and he would always be sure to check in on all of my family, especially Art and Sarah. We have lost a wonderful soul.

I met “Van” through my old college roomies Mark Drangstveit and Jimmy Johnson a long time ago. We probably had 8 or 9 times spent together at parties or family celebrations and I enjoyed this man and it was apparent early on to me why Mark and Jim thought so highly of him? Deepest condolences.
