Not sure what to say?

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.

Nadine, I just learned of Dave’s passing and am very sad to hear it. I send my deepest sympathies to you and your family. I will always remember the great times we had together in our youth.

I taught with Dave for 89 years at South Jr High in the old building. I just found out he was MY age! He always told me he was much younger than me! LOL. He was a master at running the football pools and also had a keen sense of humor. I remember when he moved from Science to PE, that was his biggest thrill. Rest in Peace, Dave, or as the kids called him, "Mr. V"! You touched many, many lives.

May God bless you and your family in this time of sorrow. I always enjoyed working with Dave at South. Always upbeat. He was a good man.

Mr. Varrato was my favorite teacher at South Middle School. We always stayed after school to talk to him extra. He had such a good sense of humor. Just yesterday some friends from South were in Facebook Reminiscing and this picture came up. Prayers for his family at this sad time. Please know what a positive impact he had on so many kids through the years.

I was honored to teach with Dave for three years at South. He was one of those open, friendly people you got to know quickly. In the old South building, the math department was located in the same hallway that led to the physical education department. Dave always had time to stop for a few minutes and share some kind words. RIP Dave. You touched many lives in a positive way.

Had many of fun times together as cousins. He was like a second brother to me in our younger days. So sorry to hear about his passing.

I was a former student at South Jr High many years ago and had him along with Mr. K as my science teacher and could not have enjoyed class more. Great teacher and one never forgotten. Please accept my condolences on your loss.

I was a student of Mr. Varrato at South in the late 70's. He always had a smile and joke and Science class was never boring with him and Mr. K as teachers. Please accept my condolences. Take solace in the fact that David touched many lives and is still in the memories of students 40+ years later. May God be with you all.
