Obituary
Vogel, David M. Age 77 of Bloomington, formerly of Richfield, passed away May 7, 2009. Preceded in death by grandson, John Heinmiller and sister, Jane Jensen. Survived by loving wife of 57 years, Elaine; children, Michael (Mary) Vogel, Julie (John) Heinmiller, Peter (Martha) Vogel, and Susan (Peter) Ivy; grandchildren, Jennifer (Oscar) Rosas, Joseph (Laura) Heinmiller, Susan Heinmiller, Michael Vogel, James Heinmiller, Katherine Vogel, and Erik Vogel; great-grandchildren, Sofia Rosas and John Heinmiller; brothers, Donald (Marlene) Vogel and Joseph (Mary) Vogel; many nieces and nephews. A Korean War Veteran. Dave retired after 20 years with the accounting firm of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell and Co., followed by controllership positions at several Twin Cities based businesses. In lieu of flowers, memorials preferred. Funeral service Wednesday, May 13, 11 AM with visitation 1 hour prior to service and also Tuesday 5-8 PM at: Washburn-McReavy Werness Brothers Chapel 2300 W Old Shakopee Rd 952-884-8145

Please accept my condolences for your loss. I had the privilege of working with Dave at Cheney Carpet - he hired me! He was a great guy and a great boss - he also enjoyed talking about Richfield, especially when he found out I lived in Richfield and went to RHS before moving.

I had the pleasure of working for Dave at Peat Marwick Mitchell (now KPMG) when I first joined the firm. I was working on the Green Giant audit in LeSeuer and Dave was in charge of the audit. He was a "taskmasker" but did his job and served the firm well. I will miss seeing him at the annual "Alumni" events.
