DAVID VOGEL

Like most everyone else in the Lake Placid area, we met David at the Publix in town. He was always cheerful and unexpectedly interesting to talk with. We visited him at his residence a few times after he fell gravely ill. He sure did maintain a positive outlook, not fearing the next life by any means. "I've got Jesus" he'd say, "so why should I be afraid when it's my time?" Indeed. We remember how he would often talk about writing a book, and he certainly had the vocabulary to do so. He also...

Dave was a sweet person, and his passing was quite a shock. May he rest in peace, and may his family know peace. He is in a far better place now. Thanks for always being so nice Dave.

So sorry to hear about David. My mother and his mother were friends from the church and that is how I got to know him. I always enjoyed seeing and talking to him at Publix. I will truly miss him.
