Andrews: David Luther Ward, 59, went home to be with the Lord on Friday, December 11, 2015, at his residence. Mr. Ward was born in Camden on May 7, 1956, a son of the late Murkie Ward and Ruth Marie Willoughby Ward. He grew up in Columbia and graduated from Spring Valley High School. Mr. Ward attended Williamsburg Technical College. He was employed by Sampit Lumber Mill as a millwright. Mr. Ward was a member of Rock Pentecostal Holiness Church in Georgetown and attended Pine Crest Baptist Church. He was a twenty-five year member and past Master of Harper's Lodge #225, Ancient Freemasons. Mr. Ward was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and friend. Surviving are: His wife, Linda Sue Bennett Ward; a daughter, Dodie W. Gray (Joey, Jr.); a son, David Ray Ward (Danielle); six grandchildren; Tiffani, Joey, Dominick, Kassie, Brook, and D.J.; and special family, Dillon and April Ray. Funeral services will be two o'clock Sunday afternoon, December 13, 2015, at Pine Crest Baptist Church. Officiating will be the Rev. Jack Mobley. Mason rites will follow in the church. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the church from one until two. Sign a guest book at www.mayerfuneralhome.com. Love and Prayers to the family. I was very lucky to have known David L Ward. He was a good person who loved and took very good care of his family. He will be missed by many.

David, you will be missed. Will never forget all the satellite TV you installed with me since 2002. One of the nicest guys I have ever met in my 65 years. God Bless the family. I will always remember David Ward, Andrews, SC.
