David E. Webb

Dave was one of my fathers (John Schantz) best friends. From combat to the barge, they shared many adventures as well as their patriotism. So many stories, so much laughter. My condolences to all who miss him. http://187thahc.net/poems/flying_west.htm

Dave was one of my favorite people at American Airlines. His wit and wisdom were a;ways appreciated and will be missed by so many of us.

The Webb family and my family go way back...dating to the early fifties when we lived and grew up together in a neighborhood at Airport and Reynolds Rd. We all went to grade school together and after that Dave, myself and Dave's brother Tom went to St Francis together. After High School Dave and I drifted apart...he into the Air Force and I into the Army. One day in 1969 right out of the blue I got a call from Dave. He was in Tuy Hoa RVN and I was in an Army aviation unit near Cam Ranh...

Dave was insightful, wise and a patriot and hero who loved this country. He was a builder in many ways, creative and funny. I'm proud to have known him and I celebrate his life. Thank you, Dave, for all you did in service to your fellow Americans. You are missed by many who love you.

Dave was a classmate of mine at St Francis de Sales HS. Since his last name began with a W, he sat close to me my years at St Francis. He called me Kever. Dave was a fun guy and he and I enjoyed exchanging emails. Kevin Whelan, Class of 1960
