WEISS-David Thomas, age 50, died tragically on Tuesday September 11 in the attack on One World Trade Center. Loving and adored husband of Marcia, treasured father of Gina Rose, beloved brother of Andrew Weiss and Arline Levine, dear son-in-law of Sheila Keller, cherished brotherin-law of Ronnie Weiss, Jonathan and Glori Keller, Barbara Keller, Philip and Daphne Keller, and beloved uncle of Todd, Pamela, Rachel, Joseph, Sarah, Reuben, Jane, Mollie, Steven and Shari. David was Vice President and Deputy General Counsel of Cantor Fitzgerald and eSpeed. In his professional life he was a brilliant attorney whose commitment to integrity and excellence was unrelenting. In his personal life he searched for spiritual growth and strove for intellectual understanding. He was a very private man with a kind, sweet and generous heart and a tremendous passion for music. But above all else was his limitless devotion to his family. His truly magnificent soul will live on forever in the hearts of those of us who were blessed to have shared our lives with him. Memorial service will be held on Friday September 21 at 11:00 AM at The Brotherhood Synagogue, 28 Gramercy Park South, New York, NY. Donations in memory of David T. Weiss can be made to The Cystic Fibrosis Foundation, The World Jewish Congress, or Cantor Fitzgerald Foundation (101 Park Avenue, 45th Floor, NY, NY 10178, Attn: Phil Ginsberg).

Not sure what to say?

Was at a 9/11 memorial today in North Tonawanda and my wife and I purchased a flag and it had David's name and a message about him. I just wanted to say his memory and the memory of all those we lost on that fateful day will live on in our household.

September 10, 2011
I only met David one time at a concert in Long Island. So this was the guy who Marcia smiled about at work. It was a good night. I don't know why the memory of them together stuck with me, but I've thought of them and their daughter often over the last 10 years. Here is to peace and the good memories. 9-10-2011

It has been a long time since i was in touch with David and Marcia, and tonight I went looking for a thread to connect us. I often think of David, he was a remarkable husband and a solid, if quiet, friend. In the mid-80s he took me a monster truck rally at the Garden - a event I will never forget. I wouldn't have chosen to go, but I had to see what he found so compelling about it - and he won me over. It was a great night.

I miss you all.

I am David's niece Pamela. My father and David are brothers. It has been eight years since this autrocity and I still cannot watch footage of the day. The thing I remember most about my uncle was the way he stood, with his hands clasped behind his back and a smile on his face- the kind of smile that told me he was thinking about something great- perhaps music, perhaps a joke he heard. Regardless- this is how I chose to remember him. My eldest daughter is named for David and the funny thing...

In memory....

I worked with David at Reavis & McGrath. He was a wonderfully energetic and kind hearted man. I am so sorry for his family's loss.

May God Bless you and watch over the ones that you left behind the morning of 9/11/01. Rest in peace forever more..........

MAY THE BEAUTIFUL SOUL OF DAVID THOMAS WEISS AND THE SOULS OF ALL THE FAITHFULLY DEPARTED THROUGH THE MERCY OF GOD REST IN PEACE AMEN.

I have a braclet with davids name. I don't have the words to tell you how sorry I am. I know there isn't anything I can do but pray for his family. Wearing the braclet makes me feel like I know him somehow. Even if I am our here in the midwest. I cried and prayed for all of you that awful day. God Bless
