David Anthony Welch, age 23, of Hot Springs, died Friday, February 20, 2004.

He was born on November 15, 1980 at Hot Springs. He was preceded in death by his great-grandfather Floyd "Pete" Bryant.

David had a love of sports and enjoyed playing basketball at Caddo Hills where he attended school, he also enjoyed hunting and fishing.

He is survived by his mother and step-father, Carol Hitchens and Ray Hitchens of Hot Springs; his father and step-mother, Doyle and Melissa Welch of Glenwood; one brother, Jeffrey Welch of Hot Springs; four sisters, Jennifer Welch of Hot Springs and Sarah, Tiffany and Christina Welch, all of Glenwood; three step-brothers, Kalan and Zach Hitchens of Hot Springs and Robert Hamel of Glenwood; his maternal grandparents, Joann Spears of Amity and Marlin Joe and Shirley Spears of Amity; his paternal grandparents, Bonnie and Amanda Welch of Lodi; his aunts, uncles, cousins and a host of friends.

Services will be held at 2:00 PM, Wednesday, February 25, 2004 in the Davis-Smith Funeral Home Chapel, Glenwood, with Bro. Arlie Francis officiating.

Interment will be in the Glenwood Cemetery. Visitation will be from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Tuesday evening.

Pallbearers will be Justin White, Greg Cischke, Earl Jolher, Neal Moore, Chad Brunt and Robert Welch.

Honorary pallbearers will be B. J. Bankhead, Ryan and Nick Harrell.
