David E. Werthman

Dave graduated in 1964, 1 year behind me, at Clawson High School. In 1967 what a surprise to find him on the USS REPOSE Hospital Ship. We were both wounded Marines. The ship was in a collision and we were off to the Philippines for repairs. 45 days later we were back in Vietnam going in different directions. I still think of Dave when we were kids growing up in Clawson Michigan, we were happy go lucky and having alot of good times together. I still grieve at his passing , it was too soon. I love you my old friend Dave.

Dave was my best friend growing up in Clawson Michigan and I fondly remember all the good times we shared together. I live in Nevada now and missed his memorial which grieved me. I shall always think of him as my blood brother which we vowed when we were kids. We were in Vietnam at the same time but he was a true hero shedding his own blood for his country and never thought it was anything special. I miss you Dave and I love you.
