Not sure what to say?

6/20/2025: from Warren Guffin (406-544-7062), Missoula, Montana. Baylor class of 1970. I just learned of David's passing and wanted to express my sadness with the news and share some memories. My name is Warren Guffin and I live in Montana. However, once upon a time I lived for my first semester in Penland dorm at Baylor as a freshman and had a roommate named David Whigham, also a freshman. He had a good smile & attitude, but I rarely saw him because of his fascination with a young lady...

Cherry I was so sorry to learn of your husbands death. I understand he had been sick for awhile but still a shock when the time comes. I know. However you have a strong faith which will Be of great comfort for you and your family. God bless and comfort you and your family. Love.,Carolyn Wilkinson

Mr. Whigham was my mentor during my first year teaching. He was very patient with me and deeply cared about my success as a future teacher. His encouragement and guidance helped me tremendously during a difficult time when I was ready to give up. Almost ten years later I am still in the education profession and I owe my success to David. He was a great and caring man. I am forever thankful he was my mentor. My sincerest condolences to the family. Coach Varela Permian HS

Deeply hurt to hear this sad news. Best regards to Cherry and the entire Whigham family, in the One who died and was raised from the dead that we might live in Glory.

I only worked with David a short time at Region 18 ESC, but during that time I knew he was a man that loved God, his family, and valued his friends. I am sure he will be missed by all. He was one of those people that you are fortunate in life to meet. I am praying for comfort for his family.

So sorry to hear this news. David was a great Christian gentleman and has received the ultimate promotion. God bless this family.
