David White

WHITE, DAVID– age 80, passed away peacefully in his sleep on September 18th, 2025, at the Durand Senior Care & Rehab Center. 

Memorial service will be held at 11:30 on Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at the Swartz Funeral Home, 1225 West Hill Road, Flint. Pastor John White officiating.

Visitation will be from 10:30am on Tuesday till the time of service at the funeral home.

Burial in Sunset Hills Cemetery. 

David was born to George and Alice White on Jan. 23, 1945, and lived in Flint for most of his life. 

As a young child he became mentally disabled after a serious Illness. He attended the Genessee County Association for Disabled Children during his school years. He was also part of a special needs Boy Scout troop for many years and a lifelong member of Calvary United Methodist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents. 

He is survived by his brothers, Donald (Debbie) of Durand and Douglas (Cindy) of Duvall, Washington. He is also survived by nephews, Robert, James, John, Adam, Jonathan, Timothy and a niece, Elizabeth.

The family would like to give special thanks to the Durand Senior Care & Rehab Center for the love and care they provided to David over the years.
