David Gardner Whiteman

I attended the service for Dave and was comforted by all the warm, loving memories shared there. I wrote to you to express our sorrow over your tremendous loss!! But whenever I get to the nursing home each day, I keep expecting to hear his booming voice down the hall or see him with all his fans there in the dining room! I look at the faces of those residents whose lives he changed every time he came and am so saddened for their great loss as well! I feel like someone turned the lights off...

I worked with Dave at Ocean Trail Nursing and Rehabilitation Center. Dave came in the center smiling and left smiling. My thoughts and prayers are with the family. Our great loss is Heaven's gain.

I am not good at things like this so bare with me. To Dave's family, I am deeply sorrowed for your loss.

I worked with Dave at Walmart and had not seen him since he left there. I left shortly after he did. I was shocked to read his obiturary in the paper. Dave and I talked many times about retirement, social security, volunteer work, etc. He gave me the idea of volunteering my time at the local middle school and I have been doing it ever since.
