Not sure what to say?

I traveled with David, Don Meredith & Perry Cloud to Europe in the Summer of 1959. We four world travelers hailed from Waxahachie, Mt. Vernon , Snider and Harlingen. The four of us were great friends
at SMU, but we became even closer after spending 2 1/2 months traveling around Western Europe in a small Simca station wagon I had arranged to buy & sell back. I only learned today of David's passing upon receiving the Spring 2020 issue of the SMU Magazine. I reached out to David in...

I was saddened to hear of the death of Professor David Wilemon in the Fall 2019 Whitman Alumni Magazine. I was a night student at Syracuse University and took some graduate classes from Dr. Wilemon in the 1980s. I enjoyed his classes in innovation management. He encouraged his students to think outside the box . He also emphasized the human side of business. When working on various business scenarios he made us promise to not lay anyone off when trying to save our companies in the...

Dear Jane and Family,

I recently learned of Dave's passing and am sorry for your loss. When I was a graduate student at Syracuse, Dave was my favorite professor. At the end of my first year in the MBA program, he asked me if I'd be interested in helping him create a handbook for students in the Innovation Management Program. When I completed the project, as a token of his gratitude, he gave me a multi-colored, earth-toned rock that he had picked up during his travels in England. I...

When we think of legacies in life, most of the time we focus on what someone has left behind. This was never the case with Dave. When I met him in 1973, I wasn't aware that he would become an advisor, a mentor, a friend, and a person who simply would elevate my spirit for life. I believe that he will always be a part of everyone who knew him and what they then commit to do with their lives and for others. With me, he was always focused and genially challenging. Our conversations were mixed...

David was a good man. Humble and Real.. We met him and Jane when we moved to Maypearl . And was very Proud to call them Friends! RIP David, You will be missed!

Offering our deepest condolences during this difficult time.
