Jim and Family:

Judge Winder was one of the finest legal minds Utah has ever produced. We are all better because of the decisions he made. My deepest sympathies to his family for their loss. He was a great and good man.

Jim and family,
We are so sorry for your loss. Our thoughts are with you at this difficult time.

It has been a great pleasure to have known David Winder. My Wife and I spent many hours with David and his Wife PAM in Mesquite,Nv. One of David's legacies will be the Great Love he had for the law and his profession. He also will be remembered as one of Utah's finest Federal Judges. He always took the time to say "Hello" to everyone. We will always have him in our thoughts and memories. We Love you, David.

Judge David Winder was one of the finest examples of judicial wisdom, brilliance, and diligence we have ever had in Utah. Whether he ruled for or against you, it was clear you could not have had a better arbiter. Probably the worst mistake I ever made as an attorney was to appeal a Judge Winder decision. I will always have fond memories of Judge Winder.

Judge Winder was a man of the highest quality of character and a man whom I deeply respected and admired. Your loss is humanities loss. God Bless.

Sheriff Winder,

My most sincere condolences to you and your family for the great loss of your father. Judge Winder was a remarkable man who contributed much to society and the judicial system. What a wonderful legacy. With love,

I, too, lost my dear father six months ago. My heart goes out to you and your family. Such a prominent and well respected man; you all must be so very proud of him! Life changes, and this is indeed one of life's tough passages. I would love to speak with you sometime and will leave my info for contact. All my...

Dear Winder Family,

Please accept my prayers at this great time of loss to your family and the Utah community that Dave loved so much.

The Winders were my nieghbors at the American Towers for years and Dave and I would often steal away to Port O Call for a drink or two in the afternoon.

There were many great talks about all thing unimportant....he was an easy man to relax with.

I, along with a lot of other people in the Winders old downtown...
