Not sure what to say?

My sympathy and condolence in the loss of David Witts. I came to know him when I was City Manager of Mesquite -- continued that acqaintenship on the Goals for Dallas Panel on Public Safety which he provided the essay for, as the City Manager of Dallas, benefiting everlastingly from his clippings literally from around the world on the enforcement regulations of dogs running at large, and as a member with him in the Legacy Group. He leaves me with memories that I value and will reflect on with...

I didn't have an opportunity to meet Mr Witt, but have been involved in the chili world for over twenty years and thank him for his contribution to starting chili cookoffs. It has been my pleasure to serve on the board of directors of the Chili Appreciation Society International from 1994-2005 and President of the organization from 1997-2005. We in the chili world will always have a special place in our hearts for Mr Witt. God bless him.

David was a great man and I am privileged to call him my friend. I will always remember the big slice of shrapnel that he kept on his desk for good luck; he told me that it had lodged in the seat of his fighter plane. Farewell, David, I'll miss you.

Stay close to God, my prayers are with you, he sounds like a special man!

David, your kindness, generosity and timely wit will always be a lasting memory in our hearts. We shall forever cherish the memories on the Rio Brazos Ranch. Our thoughts and prayers go to your family.
