Not sure what to say?

David was great at everything! I am blessed to have known him as long as I did

What a loss. I should not have waited so long to get over to Portland. David and I shared so many laughs in grade school and high school, mostly doing things that our parents would have been apoplectic about. I will miss him dearly. My condolences to his family.

David was a great friend to all of the band directors in the Portland area. He was missed the day he left Portland Sheet Music Service and I can only say that I was proud to know him for the time I did. Thanks David for your service.

I recall David with fondness. How could he be thought of anything else. There was a quiet intention about him. His talent with music....a beautiful thing. I remember David mostly around events at the Congregational Church. Sunday School, The Choir, The Country Store, little old ladies selling sour pickles and cheddar cheese. To me one of the highlights of church events was David blowing his horn at a service. He was always generous in his invites to meet him in Portland. You will be...

David was a dear friend to so many...I'm so very sad he will not be on the other end of the line to chat...loved him so much. We will all treasure some awesome memories and his true friendship. He was non-judgemental, kind, intelligent, respectable and fun. He celebrated life each day to the fullest...contributed so much to the music industry...was so connected with his family. I am so sorry for your loss, Margaret, John and siblings. Know that "Chavid" is at peace and watching over us all....

Most girls in Haworth had a crush on David, what a sweet soul he was.

I am so saddened to hear of Davids' passing. I grew up with him and attended Haworth Elementary and NVRHS DEmarest. I think he was in every one of my classes! What a smart and talented person. I have many fond memories of him. My thoughts and prayers are with David and his family.

David was for many years a very close friend. He was not only one of the most knowledgeable print music dealers; he also enjoyed life so much. Whenever he was able to travel with our unique group to Europe, he was part of this. A few month ago I asked him if he would be interested coming with us next year to Sicily. He reclined and that made me already very sorry. Now to know he is not with us at all anymore leaves a big whole in our life's. I hope he is feeling much better now and doesn't...

It seems I always knew of Sheet Music Service but was able to know David through our traveling abroad with a unique group of music retailers. We started out going to Germany for the Music Messe each year and had so much fun that over the years the group toured most of Europe together.David was so funny, nice, smart and caring.
What a laugh he had. Margaret we are thinking of you and your family and will miss David so much.
