I remember Dave as an accomplished musician, but he never sought out attention from others. His sincere smile and gentle nature were evident to all. He helped the Baldwinsville Community Band grow into one of the area's finest community bands. He was a fine musician and a great gentleman who shall be missed by those of us who knew him.

Dave was a great man to know. I knew him through our association with the Community Band. I also occassionally attend St. Stephens Church in Phoenix and have heard him as he accompanied the Choir at Mass. His heart was in all that he did and I know he will be sorely missed. He and his family will be in my prayers.

When Toni told us of Dave's death on Christmas morning we were all truly stunned. Just a week ago you were telling us he was in the hospital and was doing as best as he could.

We are so sorry to hear of Dave's passing. We will keep Dave, you, and all your family in our thoughts and prayers.

Dave was a kind man. I can picture him in his Santa hat at all our Christmas concerts. He was an asset to the band, and is greatly missed.

I would like to share my reflections on my association with Dave. He always impressed me as a quiet man, polite and warm to anyone. I remember vividly when he called to say he had cut off the end of his index finger on his right hand (brrrr!) and was concerned that he might have to give up playing the baritone horn. Within a short time, however, he adjusted and simply moved his hand position to use the remaining fingers.
