"Dave Wright, Good Night". I grew with him. My condolences. Phil Hill

Dear Wright Family,
My name is Marc Anderson. I used to live two houses away from you. My address was 3607 Pinetop Rd. and my family lived there until spring of 1970. I currently live in Durham NC, and today learned of the death of Mr. David Wright. I remember Mr. Wright from his days at WFMY and I also remember he was very nice to me when I was a little boy. My sincerest condolences to Mrs. Wright, to David, Mark, and Alan.

I had kown Dave Wright for many years growing up with his boys. I will miss him very much. David,Mark and Alan your dad was the greatest and will be missed.

I met Dave in Miss Lulu Gilberts first grade class at Central School. I was one grade behind, and we went separate ways after Central school. Dave was well liked and was always outgoing to others. Television was made for him to reach into many homes and lives. We will miss him.

Pastor Alan and family,
My heart breaks for your loss, yet rejoices for your father as he now stands in the presence of his (and our)Heavenly Father.
I am keeping you and your family in my prayers.

I remember Dave fondly from GSHS days ... even then his gregarious personality made him a friend to everyone. My sincere condolences to his family.

We have such good memories of Dave on WFMY, as he was so talented. Alan, you have our sympathy and love. You were so kind to us when our son, Roger and his wife were killed in the ValuJet crash. Your letter meant so much to us as we grieved our loss. God Bless you and your family.

Dear David III, Mark, Alan and Kathryn. Dave and I began our life long journey as buddies in 1940, he was 6 and I was 7. We were the best of pals for many years sharing High School and College together. He was like brother and I will miss him sorely. God rest his soul and comfort you all.
